I know, the Adult You sometimes (even often) forgets to care for You or acknowledge You. I know S/He doesn't do it on purpose.
It's just so easy for the Adult You to be all busy and serious, adulting through life. They are so focused on being The Adult, so they forget the Kid You.
As one Inner Kid to another, I want to thank You for always being with the Adult You even when they forget.
Thank you for helping the Adult You to laugh with joy.
Thank You for bringing the unending curiosity and discoveries in the life of the Adult You.
Thank You for sharing your igniting excitement with the Adult You and the people around.
Thank You for finding creative ways out of any problem the Adult You meets.
The Adult Lena often forgets the Kid Lena, so I invited her to put my picture somewhere so The Kid Me can remind her that I am here for her and I love her. I even made her post it here! 😁
Maybe The Kid You can also remind the Adult You that You are there for them and love them? And that the Adult You still loves you back?
